Izzo, Wright To Serve As NCAA Studio Analysts
NEW YORK (AP) - Final Four-seasoned coaches Tom Izzo and Jay Wright will serve as studio analysts for the NCAA tournament this week.
Izzo, who led Michigan State to six of the last 12 Final Fours and the 2000 national championship, will work in the Atlanta studio for the regional semifinals Thursday and Friday on CBS and TBS.
One of his colleagues will be Steve Smith, who played for the Spartans while Izzo was an assistant. Michigan State lost its first game in this year's tournament to UCLA.
Wright, who led Villanova to the 2009 Final Four, will work in the New York studio with Charles Barkley, Greg Anthony and Kenny Smith on Saturday during the regional finals on CBS. The Wildcats lost their NCAA opener to George Mason.
