It's The Ultimate Detroit Red Wings House!

LIVONIA (WWJ) - With 11 Stanley Cups on the front lawn, and a massive winged wheel alongside a giant octopus on the roof -- it's pretty difficult to miss.  In Livonia, the ultimate Detroit Red Wings fan house has been drawing honks from motorists and even has its own page on Facebook.

"The Red Wings symbol on our roof -- it's made of red and white rope light. And then we cut out all the players' numbers and put it on the front of the house with the Zetterburg flag," explained Michael Tyler, who owns the house on Farmington Road, north of West Chicago.

The Octopus, by the way, is five to 10 feet tall.

"It was a little rough doin' it, but we made it out of Styrofoam, and then used the wood for a background. Sometimes the wind gets a little bit of it, but it's still holding up strong," he told WWJ.

Tyler said he and his wife put a lot of work into the decorations.

"It usually takes us a good month before Playoffs start to get everything set up and ready and sketched out.... We do a lot of Christmas lights, but no... nothing else goes up on the house like this. This is our fun time of the year," he said.

Tyler said passersby seem to like it.

"A lot of people honk. A lot of people drive by and stop and take pictures. We've got people that will even come up and talk to us... just full of excitement of the playoff time. It's a great, great feeling," Tyler said.
