Isabella County Man Arraigned In Slaying Of Wife
MOUNT PLEASANT (WWJ/AP) - An Isabella County man whose 4-year-old son was the subject of a weekend Amber Alert has been arraigned on a murder charge in the slaying of his wife.
Thirty-five-year-old Jason Fish was arraigned Monday on open murder and other charges in Friday's shooting death of 34-year-old Stephanie Fish. He had been found Sunday with the couple's child during a traffic stop in Genesee County. The child was safe.
The Morning Sun reports Stephanie Fish's body was found hidden at the couple's home. The Amber Alert was issued Sunday and the search initially was handled as a missing persons case.
Jason Fish also faces charges of felon in possession of a firearm and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He is currently held without bond, and is due back in court on Dec. 1.
