Is Madonna's Daughter Lourdes About To Become A Wolverine?
By Christy Strawser
The Material Girl herself couldn't wait to shake the Midwestern dirt off her boots, but it's starting to look like Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon may not feel the same way.
Madonna and Lourdes were spotted this week in Ann Arbor, reportedly stopping by the dean's office at the University of Michigan School of Music and Dance -- where Madonna spent one semester after high school before winging her way to the bright lights of New York City.
Student Ryan Carrell took a grainy shot of the small entourage accompanying Madonna as they headed to their black Cadillac Escalade.
Carrell Tweted that she smiled and winked at him, but he didn't speak to her because "I didn't want to get up in her face. She was just a parent visiting today."
She had dinner at Sava's in Ann Arbor, bartender Dave Chesser confirmed, saying she ate a Greek salad, possibly with a glass of wine.
"For the most part she was left alone," Chesser said, adding, "I don't think anybody started approaching her until the end." A few patrons may have asked to take photos with her, which she seemed to decline, he said.
"It's Madonna, everybody was excited to know she was here," he said, adding she had a low-key look about her and didn't resemble the icon people see on stage.
So, is Lourdes really about to enroll at Michigan? She is graduating this year from LaGuardia High School in New York, a performing arts school used as the setting for the movie "Fame."
And Madonna has indicated it would make her happy. In response to an interviewer saying "Go Blue" in 2012, Madonna said: "I want my daughter to go to school there. I'm working it. I keep telling her Ann Arbor is an awesome place."
