Is GM Shifting Gears In Advertising Leadership?
DETROIT (WWJ) - Looks like there could be a high-profile change at General Motors. Controversial ad chief Joel Ewanick appears to be on the outs, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
This would mark the latest in a series of executive management dismissals while the automaker works to restructure.
Though it's not clear what's behind the change, Ewanick has made several ad-related changes during his two-year tenure at GM.
Including his decision to stop paid advertising on Facebook, a move that met with disapproval from some of GM's top ranks.
