SOUTHFIELD -- Lawrence Technological University is the new home for the monthly meetings of the Inventor's Association of Metropolitan Detroit.
The group will meet Thursday, Jan. 26, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in room M218 in the Buell Management Building, 21000 W. 10 Mile Road, Southfield. The group generally meets on the third Thursday of the month.
"What Every Inventor Needs to Know about Developing and Marketing their Invention" is the topic of the Jan. 26 presentation by Bill McHenry, president of Envision Sales & Marketing of Chicago, a company that provides outsourced sales, marketing, and business services to help inventors, entrepreneurs, and businesses of all sizes successfully grow their business.
McHenry has extensive corporate expertise in a wide variety of industries in upper executive positions in the sales, marketing, and business development sectors. He has helped launch a number of exciting new products and companies, building them from the ground up. Recently McHenry was elected vice president of the United Inventor's Association and also holds a board position with the South Florida Inventors & Entrepreneur Club.
The Inventor's Association of Metropolitan Detroit (IAMD) is a not-for-profit association established to educate inventors of all levels to navigate through the inventing process. In addition to being an important resource center, IAMD serves as a support group for inventors, who can exchange information, experiences and advice on how to successfully complete a project.
