Imagination And Coffee Blend At Detroit Kid City
SOUTHFIELD (WWJ) - The falling temps may be causing parents to look for some new indoor activities with their preschool age kids. WWJ's Brooke Allen says there is a local spot where imagination and coffee blend.
Detroit Kid City is a unique cafe that houses several store fronts including a bank, a recording studio, a market, and a Jets Pizza, where kids can create their own make-believe delicious pizza pie! And something for the ones who can't quite master make-believe.
"We've got an infant area -- it's got a soft grass kind of feel to it ... so they can crawl around," said manager Eric. "And in the back room - we have a story time room and that's more of an open room, a lot of parents like to go with their babies and let them kind of roam free."
Story time is held each day at 11 o' clock.
Detroit Kid City has two locations, one in Southfield and one in Clinton Township.
