'I'm A Believer' Campaign Kicks Off In Detroit
You'll soon see it on billboards and on TV and hear it on the radio. It's a new effort launched to boost Detroit -- a major ad campaign called "I'm A Believer."
Mayor Dave Bing was among those gathered to announce the effort, Tuesday, at Detroit's Renaissance Center.
"I want to thank you so much for the talent and the special effort from everyone who participated in the commercials," Bing said. "I also want to thank each and every one of you who believe in Detroit," he said.
Wayne County Executive Bob Ficano also offered praise.
"You know what? I'm a believer. Not only do I believe in Mayor Bing, I also believe that the region is working better than it ever has in the past. Detroit with Wayne County, Wayne County with Oakland, Wayne County with Macomb and with the state," Ficano said.
The spots urge Metro Detroiters to do more than "believe," but to actually get involved by volunteering at believeindetroit.org.
