Metropark Golf Courses Open For Spring Season April 4
BRIGHTON (WWJ) - It's time to grab some buddies and hit the links, now that five of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks' golf courses are open for the spring season.
Course conditions permitting, the golf courses at Huron Meadows Metropark, Kensington Metropark, Lake Erie Metropark, Stony Creek Metropark and Willow Metropark will all be open starting April 4.
Tee times are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis during the week, with weekend reservations taken on the day of play at this time. With this early spring opening, golfers are advised to always call ahead to confirm course conditions.
The following spring rates apply for all five golf courses:
- 18 holes with a cart --$25
- 9 holes with a cart -- $18
- Senior rate 18 holes with a cart -- $20
- Senior rate 9 holes with a cart -- $15
- 18 holes without a cart -- $18
- 9 holes without a cart -- $13
- Senior rate 18 holes without a cart -- $14
- Senior rate 9 holes without a cart -- $10
Huron Meadows' 18-hole golf course, located at 8765 Hammel Road in Brighton, covers 6,663 yards with a par of 72. The course will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with hours extending as daylight increases. For more details or to schedule tee times, call Huron Meadows Metropark at 810-231-4084.
Kensington's 18-hole golf course, located at 2240 Buno Road in Milford, covers 6,345 yards with a par of 71. The course will be open from 9 a.m. to dusk, with hours extending as daylight increases. For more details or to schedule tee times, call Kensington Metropark at 810-227-8910.
Lake Erie's 18-hole golf course, located at 32481 West Jefferson in Brownstown, covers 6,472 yards with a par of 72. The course will be open from 9 a.m. until dusk, with hours extending as daylight increases. For more details or to schedule tee times, call Lake Erie Metropark at 734-379-0048.
Stony Creek's 18-hole golf course, located at 5140 Main Parkway in Shelby Township, covers 6,928 yards with a par 72. The course will be open from 9 a.m. to dusk, with hours extending as daylight increases. For more details or to schedule tee times, call Stony Creek Metropark at 586-781-9166.
Willow's 18-hole golf course, located at 17845 Savage Road in Belleville, covers 6,378 yards with a par 71. The course will be open from 9 a.m. until dusk, with hours extending as daylight increases. For more details or to schedule tee times, call Willow Metropark at 734-753-4040.
A vehicle entry permit is required to enter any Metropark -- which costs $25 annually for regular admission, $15 annually for seniors, or $5 daily. The daily permit offers a $4 off green fees coupon, good that day only, not valid with league play or outings.
