Huntington Bank Named Best Regional Bank In Midwest
DETROIT (WWJ) - A big honor for an Ohio bank. Money Magazine has named Columbus-based Huntington Bank as the best regional bank in the Midwest.
The nod was given in part to what the magazine calls its terrific customer service. Huntington Bank spokesman Brian Bromley said they work hard on that aspect of business.
"We do go through training classes, in regards in how we want our customers to be served. And then we do a lot of practice and observation coaching of what's going on in our branches to let people know. And then of course, we seek the feedback from our customers."
The magazine also mentioned the bank's no-fee checking account with no minimum balance.
"If you are overdrawn, it gives you 24 hours until the next day to go in and correct it. We've had fantastic customer response to that," Bromley said.
The bank has 600 branches in Michigan, Ohio and four other states.
