Huge Water Main Break Disrupting Traffic
STERLING HEIGHTS (WWJ) - A traffic alert in Macomb County this morning -- where a stretch of Van Dyke is blocked off because of a big water main break.
WWJ's Vickie Thomas reports from the scene that crews are making quick work of it on Van Dyke between 17 and 18 Mile roads, where traffic is getting by in just the left lane headed southbound.
Vickie says when she pulled up to the scene, there was a mound of mud and a massive hole in the pavement that stretched from the sidewalk all the way to the right lane of traffic, but crews were actually using that mud to fill in the hole. They've capped the break and things should be back to normal before long.
