Tata Technologies Names John Howaniec President, PLM Solutions: India's Tata Technologies has a new president for product lifecycle mangement products and services. John Howaniec, Tata's new president of PLM solutions, will be based at Tata's Novi office. In this position, Howaniec has responsibility for leading North American, European and Asia-Pacific PLM Solutions operations and reports directly to Warren Harris, Tata Technologies president and COO. Howaniec brings to his role more than 20 years of executive leadership and sales management experience in this industry sector. Most recently, he served as senior vice president for Americas sales operations at MSC Software. Before joining MSC, he was president and CEO of Cohesia, an early stage enterprise software company. Prior to Cohesia, Howaniec was regional president at EDS, where he was responsible for the sales, services, and marketing of the UGS PLM line of enterprise software products in the Americas. Prior to EDS, he held executive positions at Structural Dynamics Research Corp., including vice president of Eastern Region Operations, vice president of operations at Metaphase Technology Division and regional manager of PDM sales. Howaniec holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Bradley University and an MBA from Xavier University.
