C/D/H Hires Gil Lalo As Director Of Client Services Infrastructure: Gil Lalo joins the technology consulting firm C/D/H as Director of Client Services: Infrastructure, bringing with him 20 years of IT experience working with the firm's largest partner, Microsoft. Lalo spent the last three years with Microsoft Corporation, most recently as program manager for Microsoft Corporation's Federal Civilian Healthcare Consulting Practice in Washington, D.C. His diverse IT experience includes roles such as interim CIO at various mid-sized businesses, owner of his own consulting group, and director of academic operations for an online university headquartered in Israel. Lalo will lead a combined area of Unified Communications and Systems Management, providing leadership, sales support, and technical consulting with C/D/H clients. Lalo is based out of the Grand Rapids office, and will be working with all of C/D/H's infrastructure consultants in Grand Rapids and Royal Oak. Beyond his leadership and interpersonal skills, and deep vertical market knowledge in healthcare and education, Lalo is skilled in designing large networks, application and desktop virtualization, SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS cloud solutions, service-oriented architecture and infrastructure monitoring and maintenance technologies. Projects include full-scale IT operations and management, desktop upgrades, and VOIP Office 365 and Exchange Online implementations, in the states and abroad. In his most recent role with Microsoft, he managed a team providing consulting services to federal healthcare agencies, including the FDA, NIH and the Bureau of Indian Health Services. Lalo earned his bachelor's degree in English with a teaching certification from Hope College and a master's in Management Information Systems from Ferris State University. His post-graduate study includes contract law, torts, research, and ethics. Lalo has also made over a dozen trips to the mountains of Guatemala to build houses for widows as a board member for a Michigan-based organization, written software for a hospital in western Kenya and traveled there to install it, and dedicates his time to other causes and volunteer work.
