Plex Systems Adds to Senior Leadership Team: Auburn Hills-based Plex Systems Inc., provider of Plex Online cloud ERP for manufacturers, announced the promotions of Chris Bishop to vice president of global services and support and Jason Prater to vice president of development. Previously, Bishop was the director of customer care and Prater was the director of development at Plex Systems. In his new role, Bishop is responsible for worldwide professional services, education and customer support operations. Prior to joining Plex Systems, Bishop served in a variety of senior leadership roles including vice president of PeopleSoft's North American supply chain consulting organization. Bishop holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in materials and logistics management from Michigan State University. As the Vice President of Development, Prater is responsible for strategizing the design, development, support and implementation of Plex Online, Cloud ERP. Prater, who joined Plex Systems in 1998, has a focus on operational performance from his time as a materials manager at an automotive supplier and Plex Online customer. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in computer science from Albion College. Plex Systems is the developer of Plex Online, which offers features for virtually every department within a manufacturer, including manufacturing execution system and quality management systems for the shop floor, supply chain management for procurement, enterprise resource planning for finance and management, and business intelligence for executive management. Two Deans Appointed At MCCC: Two deans have been appointed at Monroe County Community College. Paul Hedeen has been hired as dean of humanities and social sciences and Kimberly Lindquist has been named dean of health sciences and director of nursing. Prior to joining the administrative team at MCCC, Hedeen was a full-time faculty member and coordinator of interdisciplinary studies at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. During his tenure at Wartburg, he served as chair of the English and modern languages department. Hedeen was awarded a Fulbright grant and lectured in Ukraine. He has written two books, co-edited two more and received numerous teaching awards and fellowships. He holds three degrees in English. Hedeen earned a doctoral degree from Northwestern University, a master's degree from the University of Akron and a bachelor's degree from Kent State University. Lindquist was originally hired by MCCC in 2011 as a full-time member of the nursing faculty. Prior to that, she was employed for four years as a full-time, tenured faculty member at Henry Ford Community College where she taught Medical Surgical I and II courses, as well as leadership and management. She also served on the nursing evaluation committee. Before joining the faculty at HFCC, Lindquist worked in acute care and as director of nursing at an extended care facility. She is an alumnus of the MCCC nursing program and holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Eastern Michigan University and a master's degree in nursing from the University of Toledo. Lindquist is licensed to practice nursing in the Michigan and Ohio.
