Detroit Firefighter Hospitalized
DETROIT (WWJ) - A Detroit firefighter is hospitalized with back and neck injuries he received while fighting a fire Tuesday morning on Syracuse Street on the city's east side.
It was not known if the home, in the area of Mound Road, south of McNichols, was occupied or abandoned -- but officials said no one else was injured.
Tuesday's fire comes one day after more than a dozen homes and other buildings were damaged by fire, also on the east side. Officials said arson was suspected in Monday's fires.
The injured firefighter's name was not immediately released.
