COMERICA PARK (CBS DETROIT) - Jhonny Peralta will likely never again be the Detroit Tigers everyday shortstop, and this astounding play by 23-year-old Jose Iglesias is one of the reasons why.

Even David Ortiz, the Red Sox slugger known as Big Papi, had to smile after getting out when Iglesias ran down his fly ball out in left field, chasing it with impressive speed and watching the ball all the way in before he snagged it with the tip of his red glove.

The catch elicited murmurs of "Oooooh!" "Oh wow!" "Whoa!" and "That's unbelievable!" in the no-cheering-allowed press room.

Max Scherzer, who will pitch Game 6 for the Tigers Saturday, laughed and clapped in reaction to Iglesias' grab. Even Ortiz put his hands together for Iglesias, who many speculate is a Rookie of the Year candidate.

"He's covering ground from left to right, 100 yards," Detroit right fielder Torii Hunter said with a smile. "Miggy's hurt, his range is kind of scarce, and with Iglesias out there - Iggy, we call him - he definitely covered some ground tonight. He got some miles in, trust me."
