Homeless Man Seeks To Return Diamond Ring
PONTIAC (AP) - A homeless man who has lived on the streets around Pontiac for nearly two years is looking for a woman he thinks accidentally gave him a gold ring with small diamonds along with a handful of change.
Michael Secaur told The Oakland Press he was standing at a Woodward Avenue intersection on Monday asking for spare change when a woman in a vehicle handed him money. He says the ring was among some coins, and he thinks she "did an oops.''
Secaur says he would recognize the woman if he saw her again.
Secaur often stays at the Centerstage shelter in Pontiac, and told a shelter owner Dave Coleman about the ring. Coleman said he's keeping the ring in a safety deposit box.
