Homeland Security Group Gets New Web Site, Identity

The Michigan Homeland Security Consortium last week announced its new identity, designed by Michigan-based Düx Studios.

"The exciting new logo is part of a massive new branding campaign for the Consortium." said Jeremy Van Dam, president of MIHSC and Executive Director of Paladin Global, LLC.

"The logo is designed to reflect the core values of the organization, which include integrity, professionalism, and service. It is bold enough to show strength and confidence; yet the subtle use of the star and stripes evokes a sense of pride," said Mel Blohm, senior branding director at Düx Studios.

The new design is the first phase of a rebranding campaign that will also include a new Web site at www.mihsc.org and a revamped dues structure, among other changes.

"The backbone of the campaign is our new logo and identity, created for us by Grand Rapids-based Düx Studios," Van Dam said. "We are very pleased with the work of Düx Studios, they were very responsive to our needs and did an outstanding job for us. These changes are all part of an aggressive new strategic plan aimed at providing significantly more education, assistance, and value for consortium members, as well as the homeland security and defense sectors in our state."
