Home Invasion, Stabbing Suspect Returned To Macomb County
Mt. Clemens (WWJ) A Fraser man accused of attacking and stabbing a woman in Macomb Township in February is back in Michigan to face charges.
Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham says 27 year old Joseph Reiner faces attempted murder and home invasion charges. The sheriff said Reiner spent four years in prison for home invasion and was arrested earlier in March after a police chase in New York.
The 69-year-old victim, who was found with two knives in her neck, underwent surgery and is recovering. She was able to call 911 from her Fairchild Street home and give a description of her assailant to police.
Reiner is expected to face arraignment Thursday. If convicted on the attempted murder charge he could face life in prison.
