Metro Detroiters 'Hob Nobble Gobble' All In The Name Of Fundraising
DETROIT (WWJ) - The turf was gone and Ford Field was all decked out for Christmas Friday night for the annual Hob Nobble Gobble. The party is the fundraiser for Detroit's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Clay Simpkins drove up from Toledo to be part of the fun.
"I come back as much as I can, it's dear to my heart the city of Detroit is fantastic," said Simpkins.
The event this year featured a meet and greet with Detroit area native pop star Mike Posner and a performance by Jason Derulo.
But for eight year old Emily, the carnival was the most fun!
"I like the boat ride," she said."The big swinging boat ride."
Parade Company CEO Tony Michaels says the annual party drew the largest crowd in recent memory.
