Highland Park Tackles Water Crisis
Highland Park Mayor Hubert Yopp met Monday with department heads to talk about the city's water crisis -- and to explore possible remedies.
The city remains under an alert to boil water while officials try to get water pressure problems resolved in the wake of a major water main break on Friday.
WWJ spoke with residents who say the repair is taking way too long.
"It happened Friday but they're gonna wait til Monday to fix it? Okay -- yeah, because we've got a backup pump but the backup pump needs help," said resident Charles Strickland.
Wayne County officials are now involved and FEMA has been contacted regarding the crisis.
