Highland Park Police Investigating Axe Murder
This morning, Highland Park police are investigating the chain-of-events leading up to the death of a 26-year old mother, who was reportedly killed with an axe.
Relatives tell police that when Myla Perry walked into her home yesterday, on Candler near Woodward and McNichols, to get her purse -- she was attacked by her boyfriend's mother.
Police say the suspect also held Perry's child hostage for several hours before he was removed safely from the home.
