Henrik Zetterberg To Miss At Least Two Weeks With Herniated Disc
The Detroit Red Wings announced Tuesday that forward Henrik Zetterberg will be off the ice for at least two weeks after suffering a herniated disc in his back this week.
Zetterberg joins a list of injured Red Wings which includes their leading goal-scorer, forward Pavel Datsyuk, who suffered a concussion on Nov. 23 against the Ottawa Senators. Forward Todd Bertuzzi and defenseman Danny DeKeyser are also out for the Wings.
Zetterberg leads the team with 30 points (11 goals and 19 assists) and shots on goal with 99. The Red Wings sit at third in the Atlantic Division, just three points behind the first-place Boston Bruins. The Wings beat Boston soundly last week, 6-1, in which Zetterberg notched a goal and an assist.
