Hamtramck Deli Recalls Salad Products
HAMTRAMCK (WWJ) - A Hamtramck deli is recalling over 100 pounds of julienne salad products because of bacteria contamination.
The 18th Street Deli salads believed to be contaminated include turkey, ham, and hard-cooked eggs.
The salads contain eggs that are the subject of an FDA recall due to contamination with Listeria monocytogenes according to the Food Poison Journal.
The salad products were produced on Jan. 20, 2012 and then distributed to retail stores in Michigan and vending companies in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
The expiration dates of the salads are 1/27/2012 and 1/30/2012.
There have been no reports of illness.
