Hackel Names Three New Interim Directors
Macomb County Executive-Elect Mark Hackel named three interim
County Directors.
Robert Hoefner will serve as the interim Director of Roads. A 36-year veteran of Macomb County Road Commission, he has served a Chief Highway Engineer the past 6 Years. Hoefner has supervised all functions
involving construction and maintenance of the Macomb County roadways.
Dave Diegel has been appointed interim Director of Finance. Diegel
retired in January of this year after 39 years with the Macomb County,
including 26 years as Finance Director.
Eric Herppich will be the interim Director of Human Resources and Labor
Relations. Eric is a 20-year veteran of the Macomb County Human
Relations Department. He has served as a Labor Relations Director and
Coordinator of Human Resources. Eric also been chief negotiator during
contract talks with all county unions.
These current and former county managers bring a wealth of experience
to our new Macomb County government," says Macomb County
Executive-Elect Mark Hackel. "They are highly skilled and accomplished
in the areas we need to review during the first 180 days of our new
county charter."
