Six Arrested After Gunman Fires At Undercover Detroit Police Officers
DETROIT (WWJ) - Police were swarming an east side Detroit neighborhood after undercover officers were targeted by a gunman.
Detroit Police tell WWJ Newsradio 950 that six people were taken into custody after undercover officers were fired upon in the area of McDougall and Warren. The shooter ran to a house that was then surrounded by police and the suspects were arrested, including the alleged shooter.
Police recovered two assault weapons from the home, including an AK-47 assault rifle.
As the investigation unfolds, there's no information as to whether the shooter or the other suspects were the original point of interest of the undercover officers at the time they were fired upon. No one was injured.
