Guilty Verdict For 1968 Murder
DETROIT (WWJ) - A 67-year-old serial strangling suspect from Ohio has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the 1968 killing of a Michigan woman.
Nolan George of Hamilton was convicted of killing 36-year-old Gwendolyn Perry of Pontiac. Defense lawyer Michael McCarthy had tried to keep a decades-old confession from George out of the trial, saying he was promised immunity for the statement.
George also served time in Ohio for strangling another woman and is suspected in several other attacks.
