Green Bay C Dietrich-Smith Injured Against Lions
DETROIT (AP) — Green Bay center Evan Dietrich-Smith has left its game at Detroit because of a knee injury, and he will not return.
Dietrich-Smith is the lineman who was stomped on by Detroit's Ndamukong Suh in a Thanksgiving game two years ago. On Thursday, he appeared to have his right foot stepped on by a teammate while blocking near the end of the second quarter. After remaining down for a while, he was able to walk off under his own power.
The Packers certainly didn't need an injury on their offensive line. They struggled to move the ball in the first half, when quarterback Matt Flynn was sacked three times.
