The 900-acre Grand Traverse Resort & Spa just northeast of Traverse City Monday announced the launch of its own mobile app for iPhones and Android phones, along with a new mobile Web site for the resort.
Designed as an insider's guide to the Resort's amenities and the surrounding area, the app features an array of resort recommendations and maps of activities in the Traverse City area.
Now guests, past, present, and future, can discover everything they need to know about the full-service resort and conference destination by downloading the official Grand Traverse mobile app. This interactive concierge app offers menus, directions, weather, tickets, special offers, videos and more through hundreds of pages of dynamic content.
"We know the way our customers search for and book their vacation experiences and meeting venues is shifting," said the resort's president and general manager, Donald M. Ponniah. "They're relying more on their mobile devices to serve their needs. Our new mobile app enables us to provide convenient information for our guests and prospective visitors before, during and after their stays."
Available to download for free, the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa app allows guests instant access to real-time mobile reservations via email or direct dial. App users can explore the best of the resort in a few easy taps -- they can make dining reservations at the hotel's Aerie restaurant, browse various room accommodations, or book time at Spa Grand Traverse. Users can learn about the resort's acclaimed golf courses, check on health club hours, kids activities, the Resort's shops, or join Team Barefoot, the active lifestyle team of Grand Traverse.
Meeting planners have the option to create private, passkey-protected content only accessible to registered attendees, who can access up-to-the-minute event schedules, programs and materials, speaker bios, break-out room agendas, convention maps and more.
Another useful feature of the app is the interactive map that serves as an area guide, showing the location and information on all the nearest restaurants, shops, recreational venues, and must-see attractions.
To enhance these features, a photo gallery is also included.
