GR Tech Entrepreneur Launches Web Site For Parents
A Grand Rapids psychologist and entrepreneur has launched a new Web site with resources for parents to help kids succeed.
Roger Jansen is president and co-founder of Kidtelligent, at www.kidtelligent.com.
The Web site offers parents a personalized road map to help their kids be successful in key areas like school, relationships, athletics and home life.
Kidtelligent's online resources help parents identify their child's personality and capabilities more easily and then determine the appropriate paths to success in school, in sports and in life.
Kidtelligent says its resources can even stop the discipline battles, end the homework wars, and find the best career, hobby or sports fit for their child.
Developed for children ages 7 to 13, Kidtelligent features a comprehensive online Insights Survey to provide a research-based personality report on a child's preferences, strengths and challenges so that they can more effectively achieve success and navigate life's ups and downs in a way that fits them best.
At the conclusion of the survey, parents can become Kidtelligent members for $24.99 per year per child.
"Every parent wants the best for their child, but many struggle to understand how they can most effectively help their child succeed in all areas of life," Jansen said. "Kidtelligent was designed to take some of the guess work out of parenting by providing parents with insights into their child's natural preferences and strengths and data-driven advice on how to leverage those strengths, while also providing answers on how to address common challenges all children face."
Jansen has a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is also CEO of ThinkWise, an organizational psychology and human resources management technology firm in Grand Rapids.
Jansen's research has centered on what social, biological and personality-based factors influence success and life trajectory.
Kidtelligent membership also includes:
*Reports, written by experts in personality types and education. These reports will describe behaviors parents can expect at home; reactions to various educational settings; relationships with friends and family; common interests and activities.
* Personalized advice, which includes comprehensive tips and resources for addressing everyday challenges; targeted videos, articles and tools; and real-time ideas from parents of children similar to yours.
* A focused plan for working with your child. This includes understanding your child's unique strengths and development needs; bookmarking relevant tips and resources for you and your child; and viewing your personalized plan to revisit ideas and modify accordingly.
