GR Firm In Health Care Tech Partnership

Grand Rapids-based CPM Resource Center, a provider of clinical practice guidelines, care planning and documentation to the health care industry, announced a partnership Monday with the Reston, Va.-based electronic health records technology provider QuadraMed.

Under the partnership, QuadraMed's clients will receive CPM's  nursing and allied health clinical documentation, care planning, and clinical practice guidelines, as well as transformation services.

CPMRC brings evidence-based clinical content products and practice transformation services that assist healthcare organizations in creating a healthy work culture and interdisciplinary integration.

The partnership will enable meaningful clinician workflow based on evidence-based best practices, which will accelerate documentation processes and help improve the quality of care. With QuadraMed's integrated Computerized-Patient Records, health systems will no longer need to develop their own content from scratch, which will enable nurses and allied health professionals to bring evidence-based information to the patient directly at the point of care.

As a result of this partnership, QuadraMed clients will be able to join the CPMRC International Consortium, a voluntary organization made up of hundreds of hospitals, health systems, and educational institutions. Through CPMRC's interdisciplinary content, the integrated solution will also enhance the education of clinicians on the use of health information technology, which will help them meet meaningful-use requirements.

"We are excited to offer an integrated Electronic Health Record solution with evidence-based content," said Duncan W. James, QuadraMed's CEO. "The partnership with CPM Resource Center will allow clinicians to review and implement proven best practices to improve patient safety, enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the care process and build true interdisciplinary, evidence-based care."

CPMRC's Clinical Practice Models embrace the concept of providing a complete solution to assist healthcare organizations with practice transformation and the transition to electronic health records. Their integrated solutions help standardize care, while ensuring seamless adoption by the clinical team.

"By bringing evidence-based practices together with QuadraMed's EHR technology, we are committed to providing the most relevant clinical-decision support aligned with meaningful-use criteria," said Diane Hanson, executive vice president and general manager for CPMRC. "Our ability to provide integrated transformation services and help health systems achieve meaningful use will lead to enhanced quality of care for QuadraMed's client organizations."
