Govt Opens Probe Of Headlights On Honda Fit
The federal government has begun a safety investigation into the Honda Fit subcompact. So far, the government has had eight complaints that the low-beam headlights on the Fit can just stop working.
Several of the consumers who complained said they had a wiring harness connector and a headlight switch replaced as a repair.
The preliminary investigation involves 133,000 Honda Fit vehicles from the 2007-2008 model years. Honda said it's cooperating with the government's investigation.
Vehicle defect investigations sometimes lead to recalls.
