Post Office Prepared For Possible Gov't Closure
OAK PARK (WWJ) - With the threat of a federal government shutdown looming large on the horizon, U.S. Post Offices took a simple step to reassure customers that the mail delivery would continue.
The sign above was still posted on the door of an Oak Park, Michigan
branch post office.
Whether the sign's continued presence more than 12 hours after the
11th hour compromise plan was reached is an indication that not everyone is confident U.S. lawmakers have truly reached an agreement or simply an oversight -- is anyone's guess.
