Goodyear Blimp To Televise MSU Vs. Notre Dame Football Game

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WWJ) - Tonight's Michigan State vs. Boise State football game will have a special spectator: the Goodyear Blimp.

The giant airship, "Spirit of Goodyear," touched down at Lansing's airport Thursday ahead of tonight's game, which will be shown on ESPN. And the blimp could be making a return trip to East Lansing; an online vote gets underway next week on where to send it September 15th. That's when the Spartans host the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame.

Other teams competing for "Blimpworthy" fame and having their games telecast by the blimp on September 15th are:
