Golden Grizzlies Report: Notes, Quotes

--Oakland has dominated the Summit League like no other Division I team has ruled its conference during the past two seasons. The Golden Grizzlies have won 40 of 42 games against league opponents since the beginning of the 2009-10 campaign.

--The Golden Grizzlies went into the NCAA Tournament 53rd in the RPI, tops in the Summit League after playing a brutal non-conference schedule that included games against five ranked opponents. The highlight of the non-conference stretch? A victory at Tennessee, which was ranked seventh at the time and undefeated on the season.

COACH
Greg Kampe, 27 years at Oakland, fourth postseason appearance (third NCAA Tournament)

KEYS TO VICTORY
Oakland boasts one of the most balanced arrays of scoring talent in all of Division I. Four Golden Grizzlies are contributing double figures in scoring per game, and five are tallying at least 9.8 points on a nightly basis. Oakland is at its best when Keith Benson is doing his thing, scoring points, grabbing rebounds and blocking shots. However, Oakland has another very capable post in Will Hudson, a second-team all-conference selection and the Summit League leader in field-goal percentage.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"We won't be intimidated by anybody. We've been in every building and played all the best teams in the country, so we're just nervous to get it going and excited to have a chance." -- Coach Greg Kampe, to the Rochester Patch.
