GM Returns To Super Bowl In A Big Way

(Detroit-WWJ) After taking a few years off to emerge from bankruptcy, General Motors is returning to Super Bowl advertising with new versions of its "Chevy Runs Deep" ad campaign.

GM will air five Chevrolet commercials during Sunday's Fox Network broadcast of the game between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

GM is also planning two ads in the pregame show and another in the postgame show, which it is sponsoring. The company also plans a tie-in with Fox's postgame episode of "Glee," and will present a Camaro to the game's most valuable player.

With commercials averaging about three million dollars for 30 seconds, it represents a multi-million investment for the company, which suspended Super Bowl advertising in 2008.
