Girl Reportedly Raped At Knifepoint In Woods At Trailer Park
HIGHLAND TWP. (WWJ) - Oakland County officials are investigating the reported sexual assault of a girl in Highland Township.
Police say the incident reportedly occurred around 3:25 p.m. Tuesday at the Highland Green Estates mobile home park, near N. Milford and W. Highland roads.
The girl, whose age has not been released, told her mother that a 16-year-old boy had raped her at knifepoint in the woods near her home.
According to police, responding officers located the crime scene were the alleged assault took place and retrieved several items of evidence. Officers then located the suspect and took him into custody. He's currently being held at a juvenile center in Oakland County.
Police say the girl sustained "serious injuries" during the attack. She was transported to Huron Valley Hospital for treatment.
Charges are pending, according to police.
