Get In The Holiday Spirit With "Arthur Christmas"
BIRMINGHAM (WWJ) - How does Santa manage to deliver presents to millions of little boys and girls around the world in just one night? The answer to that question is revealed in the new, animated family film "Arthur Christmas."
At the new high-tech North Pole, there's no need any longer for an old-fashioned sleigh and live reindeer. Santa now relies on a massive, state-of-the-art ship called S-1, which even includes stealth cloaking ability.
But even this latest technology doesn't prevent one child from being missed when the presents are handed out the night before Christmas. And what does Santa do when this happens? I just can't give it away! You'll have to watch the movie to find out.
Starring in Arthur Christmas are the voices of James McAvoy as Arthur (Santa's youngest son); Hugh Laurie as Steve (Santa's firstborn son and next in line as Santa); Bill Nighy as 136-year-old Grandsanta); Jim Broadbent (as Santa); Imelda Staunton (as Mrs. Santa); and Ashley Jensen (as Bryony, the elf who absolutely lives to wrap presents).
Arthur Christmas includes the song "Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town" by Justin Bieber from his new album "Under The Mistletoe" (featuring the new single "Mistletoe"). And if you're lucky, you'll be treated to Bieber's music video before the movie starts. That's a treat in itself.
Arthur Christmas is rated PG-13 for some mild, rude humor. It's in theaters starting on Thanksgiving Eve.
See you at the movies!
