Georgia Launches Statewide Health Information Exchange With Truven
ANN ARBOR (WWJ) -- Truven Health Analytics and the Georgia Department of Community Health announced the launch of a statewide health information exchange network, the Georgia Health Information Network.
The GaHIN utilizes Truven Health to provide clinicians throughout the state with a longitudinal patient history at the point of care by securely capturing real-time clinical and administrative data from electronic medical records, healthcare claims, Georgia Medicaid, Public Health Georgia Registry for Immunization Services (GRITS) and many other sources.
