Gas Prices On The Rise - Again
DETROIT (WWJ) - The cost of filling up is a little more expensive.
The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline is up 9.5 cents to $3.51 a gallon over the past two weeks -- according to the latest Lundberg Survey. Publisher Trilby Lundberg says -- it could be worse:
"The current price is still 46 cents under the peak, Lundberg said. "This price is a discount of 20 cents under one year ago."
This marks the first increase at the pump in four months.
Jackson, Mississippi has the cheapest gasoline at an average of $3.14 a gallon. Long Island, New York has the most expensive: $3.83. Here in metro Detroit, we're paying about $3.65 a gallon.
