Funeral For Detroit Police Officer Hit By Car
DETROIT (WWJ)- Funeral services are being held Friday for a Detroit Police officer hit by a car while directing traffic in Greektown earlier this month.
Forty year-old Officer Charles Armour was struck June 5 and died last Saturday. The funeral began at 10 a.m. at Greater Grace Temple in Detroit.
Friends, family and fellow officers paid their respects during Thursday's visitation at the Swanson Funeral Home in Detroit. Taylor Police Lt. Robert Graham wanted to honor a "brother in blue" after his department lost two officers recently.
A Buffalo, New York, man, Saddam Mohsin, is jailed in connection with Officer Armour's death.
He is facing a charge of assault with intent to murder but the Wayne County prosecutor is considering raising the charge to murder.
