Friends And Co-Workers Shocked By Murder Of Farmington Hills Man
FARMINGTON HILLS (WWJ) - Three people are being questioned in connection with the beating death of a 52-year-old Farmington Hills man.
Police have arrested a 19-year-old man in the fatal beating of his own father overnight. The mother and 17-year-old brother of the alleged assailant, 19-year-old Tucker Cipriano, were critically injured in the attack.
The victim, Bob Cipriano, joined the Dearborn Public Schools in 2000 as director of Business Services. District spokesman Dave Mustonen, says the tragedy has left everyone in shock.
"As this news unfolded we're hoping that this was not our Bob Cipriano ... that this was not the Cipriano family we knew because it surely didn't sound like it, but unfortunately, as the events of the morning unfolded, and as all of us arrived here at work, we did learn the very tragic, tragic truth," said Mustonen.
Mustonen says while there may have been typical family "challenges," no one could predict such a violent end.
"I don't think anybody really can foresee somebody doing this kind of violent act ... to people who have given much of themselves and given so much love to somebody and then to have them do this -- it's just, it's just not right," he said.
Bob Cipriano was a business administrator for Dearborn Public Schools, but Mustonen said his friend and colleague was also a big supporter of student athletics.
He says they're now focusing on the recovery of the family survivors, who were seriously injured.
