Freeze On Pay Increases For Oakland Co. Workers

OAKLAND COUNTY (WWJ) - Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson will not have good news for the county's 3400 employees when he delivers his budget message to County Commissioners on Wednesday.

County employees will not see any increase in pay over the next two years.

The workers, who took pay cuts for the past two years, are scheduled to receive a one per cent raise in fiscal year 2014.

Patterson says the worst of the long recession is behind us,  but he doesn't see money for raises in the next couple of years.
