Fraser Teacher Busted In Alleged Drug Deal
FRASER (WWJ) - A Fraser teacher was arrested after police say he was caught buying prescription drugs at an elementary school.
Gregory Austin, 31, of Chesterfield Township, was charged with drug possession and is on administrative leave from his job in Fraser Public
Schools. He is a 6th grade teacher at Eisenhower Elementary.
On Monday, Roseville police were called to Masonic and Kelly Road on a possible drug deal in progress.
Police said they saw Austin and a Fraser man named Jason Tassie talking before Austin followed Tassie into the parking lot of the school. Detectives said they then saw Tassie hand Austin hydrocodone, a painkiller.
Both men were arrested.
Austin is free on $5,000 bond.
Tassie was charged with drug delivery. He is being held in the Macomb County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
