Four Dead In Shootings In Detroit, Highland Park
(Detroit-WWJ) Separate shooting incidents on Detroit's east side and in Highland Park Wednesday left four people dead and an off-duty police officer wounded.
Police found the bodies of two women and a man inside a Chevrolet Malibu with Ohio license plates in the 17 thousand block of Orleans, near Six Mile and I-75. All three had been shot to death, according to Detroit Police Lt. Dwayne Blackman.
A motive is unclear. Police are searching for suspects. At least one person in the neighborhood reported hearing gunshots.
In Highland Park, one person was killed in a shooting at Hamilton and Grand Avenue. An off-duty police officer was recovering at Detroit Receiving Hospital from a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police have not discussed a motive for the shooting.
