Former U of M And NFL Star Ron Kramer Passes Away
Former University of Michigan football star Ron Kramer has died at the age of 75.
Kramer was a native of Girard, Kansas but moved to the Detroit area when he was five.
Kramer was a two-time All-American (1955-56) in football at Michigan. He was also a nine-letter man in football, basketball and track.
After leaving U of M Kramer played 10 seasons in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions
After retiring from football in 1968, Kramer was elected into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 1971.
Later, in 1981, he was named as a recipient of the NCAA's Silver Anniversary Award in recognition of significant professional and civic contributions spanning 25 years after completion of his college eligibility.
