Former President Carter Remains Hospitalized
Former President Jimmy Carter will not be released Wednesday morning from the Ohio hospital where he was admitted on Tuesday, according to a hospital statement.
"Former President Jimmy Carter is feeling normal this morning," the statement said, adding that "his doctors at MetroHealth Medical Center recommended additional observation during the day."
"He looks forward to resuming his schedule as soon as possible," the statement said.
Mr. Carter was hospitalized on Tuesday after developing an upset stomach while on a flight to Cleveland for a book signing and spent the night at MetroHealth.
It was not immediately clear if Carter would attend two scheduled events in Washington on Wednesday to promote his book "White House Diary."
