Former Michigan Coach Rodriguez Joins CBS Sports Network
Former Michigan and West Virginia coach Rich Rodriguez will join CBS Sports Network as a game and studio analyst for the upcoming college football season.
CBS Sports Network President David Berson announced the hiring of Rodriguez on Tuesday.
Rodriguez and veteran play-by-play announcer Dave Ryan will call games, and Rodriguez also will be part of the network's weekly New York City studio show. Rodriguez recently worked on CBS Sports Network's signing day and NFL Draft coverage.
Rodriguez coached at Michigan from 2008-10. He won four Big East titles at West Virginia from 2001-07, while leading the Mountaineers to six consecutive bowl bids. He was the conference coach of the year in 2003 and 2005.
CBS Sports Network will broadcast more than 40 football games this season, featuring the Mountain West Conference, Conference USA and Army and Navy.
