Ford F-150 Named 'Motor Trend Truck Of The Year'
DETROIT (WWJ) - It's a big award for Ford F-150, which was honored as the "Motor Trend Truck of the Year."
This is the fourth time the truck has won the award -- most recently it won two years ago.
Among the modifications the vehicle received for the current model year was a new 6-cylinder eco boost engine, which WWJ's Jeff Gilbert reports is now becoming more popular than the V8 version.
Motor Trend praised the F-150 for its combination of power and fuel economy.
It is vehicle awards season. Later this week comes the announcement of the finalists for "North American Car and Truck of the Year."
