Fithian's Blog: Michigan's Spring Practice

Michigan football team held an open practice on Tuesday in Ann Arbor.
Offensive Coordinator Al Borges met the media for about a half hour a few hours before the practice. Borges talked about a more balanced offense this year. Denard Robinson was compared to Michael Vick. Borges went on to point out that Robinson only survived two of the 13 games last year without leaving at some point because of an injury.

It all sounds good to me. Finding a running back that can be dangerous
will help Robinson and help the UM offense. Borges was ticking off the buzz words that Head Coach Brady Hoke I'm sure has been underlining this spring. Things like toughness, effort, being physical and being a downhill running team. Borges also said that UM is not a spread team
but that they will be in three or four wide out sets a lot.

What it all means to me? Get Denard as much help as you can. Be a physical running team. Improve on defense and special teams. Denard Robinson till further notice is still a one man team. It didn't work out so bad for Auburn this year Cam Newton won four or five games himself. I'll take eight or nine wins with a win or two over Michigan State and/or Ohio State.
